Pompeii and Herculaneum – Cultural Tour
About 20km from Naples there are famous excavations of Pompeii, one of the most incredible remains of the Ancient Roman Empire. A city that remained crystallized by the terrible eruption of 79 AD, which overwhelmed the whole area by depositing a layer of lava and debris. The site is part of the Unesco Heritage and covers an area of about 60 hectares. Not far away is Herculaneum, an area managed by the Archaeological Park and part of the Unesco Heritage too. Two incredible sites, for an unforgettable archaeological themed visit.
