Apulia – Primitivo
Primitivo is a red grape variety that owes its name to the early ripening that distinguishes it. It is widespread in Southern Italy, but the Italian region most suited to its cultivation is certainly Apulia. Primitivo di Manduria DOC is the most famous red wine produced with its grapes, together with its sweet version which gives life to Primitivo di Manduria Dolce Naturale DOCG.
