Schedule of the tour
DAY 1: Verona – Garda
Arrival at Verona Airport. Pick up the rental car (if requested – upon supplement). Arriving in a farmhouse in Garda Lake area. Overnight.
DAY 2: Garda Lake – Verona
Breakfast. You will first visit castles – You will tour 5 of them : Monzambano, Valeggio, Villafranca Veronese, Soave and Montecchio and then you tour Verona, the town of Romeo and Juliet. You will have a sightseeing walk there and lunch in local restaurant to taste the true cooking of Verona. Back to the farmhouse and overnight.
DAY 3: Bardolino and local wines – Oil mill on the shores of Garda Lake
After breakfast, leaving for Bardolino. Visit of the museum of local vine that offers a complete tour and tasting of local wines.
Free lunch and transfer to a local oil mill. Visit of the oil museum and tasting. Back to the farmhouse. Overnight.
DAY 4: Valpolicella and Amarone
Breakfast and leaving for Valpollicella area, homeland of Amarone wine. Giuded tour of the cellar of Giuseppe Quintarelli with wine tasting. Lunch in a local restaurant facing the valley from above. Back to the farmhouse and overnight.
DAY 5: Asiago – Bassano Del Grappa – Treviso
Breakfast. On day 5 you will leave the Garda Lake and at the end of the day you will reach your next hotel in Treviso area stopping in Asiago and Bassano del Grappa. In Asiago, you will stop in a farm to see the making of the famous Asiago cheese and you can taste it. In Bassano, there is the Museum of Grappa. At the end of the tour, you will have a tasting. Arrival in Treviso area to stay in your new hotel. Overnight.
DAY 6: Palladian Villas – Prosecco Tour
After breakfast, you will visit two Palladio’s Villas: Villa Emo in Fanzolo di Vedelago and Villa Barbaro in Maser, both designed by Palladio, both painted with frescoes of Paolo Veronese and GB Zelotti, his pupil. Free lunch. Prosecco tour in the afternoon. Stop in a local cellar to enjoy this white ‘spumante’ at the end of the tour you will have dinner in a local restaurant. Back to the farmhouse. Overnight.
DAY 7: Venice
Breakfast and leaving for a 2 hours guided tour of Venice. Stop in a bar to enjoy the ‘cicchetti’. Back to the farmhouse. Overnight.
DAY 8: Venice
After breakfast, leaving for Venice Airport. Release of the rented car (if requested ). End of our services.
The tour includes:
– 4 nights in Garda Lake area in farmhouse (Agriturismo Antica Dimora del Turco or similar) in standard room (overnights and breakfast included)
– 3 nights in Treviso area in farmhouse (Agriturismo Il Cascinale or similar) in standard room (overnights and breakfast included)
